Did You Know About the Recovery Community Space – The Recovery Hub in Belper?

Recovery Community Spaces are open to everyone, regardless of their treatment status. The Recovery Hub in Belper is one such space that:

• Offers a range of support and activities to help people sustain long-term recovery.
• Encourages and strengthens recovery networks by connecting people and families in recovery.
• Aims to reduce stigma by making recovery visible to the wider community.

The Kelsey Family manages and oversees the Hub and has many exciting new things planned, including new Recovery Groups!

New Recovery Groups
Starting Week Commencing 9th September, there are two new Recovery Groups:
1. Wellness, Whimsy, and Wonder (Weekly on Wednesday Evenings)

o A holistic, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing group dedicated to nurturing spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being for individuals facing addiction or in recovery from substance misuse disorder. This unique approach blends mindfulness, creative exploration, and compassionate support to guide individuals through their healing journey.

2. Neurodivergent - Addictive Behaviours Support Group (Monthly on the 1st Saturday of every month)

o This group provides a safe and inclusive space specifically designed for individuals who are both neurodivergent and navigating the challenges of addiction or recovery. It understands the unique experiences and needs of those living with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other neurodivergent traits, and how they intersect with substance use. The support group offers a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where neurodivergent individuals can connect with others who understand their journey. It honours the diversity of thought, experience, and expression while providing tools to help manage addiction and foster a healthy, balanced life.

The Kelsey Family is also hoping to launch two new SMART groups, one on Thursday daytime and one on Friday evening. Final confirmation is pending, so further information will follow shortly.
