Kelsey Family - It's All About the Activities, Celebrating Recovery!

Kelsey Family CIC is one of the twelve Recovery Projects in Derbyshire, dedicated to providing family-based recovery services to those affected by substance or alcohol use.

Kelsey Family CIC emphasises positive psychology, building on the strengths of all family members to offer bespoke guidance and support. Their services include family recovery activity boxes, health and well-being activities, recovery coaching, and the Recovery Space in the 1924 Shopping Arcade in Belper. The Recovery Space:

  • Offers a range of support and activities to help people sustain long-term recovery.
  • Encourages and strengthens recovery networks by connecting people and families in recovery.
  • Aims to reduce stigma by making recovery visible to the wider community.

For their Recovery Month Event in September, the Kelsey Family team hosted an 'It's all about the Activities' day!

This event is a safe, non-judgemental space where attendees could step out of their comfort zones, push boundaries, and try new activities in a supportive environment!

The day was filled with fun and camaraderie, embodying the essence of Kelsey Family's mission to develop a supportive community where everyone feels heard and valued. You can catch a glimpse of the event through their Instagram post here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAjYIxYC4VI/?igsh=N2IxZWx5NTVuYTJp.

If you are free this Sunday, why not attend the next Activities Day?

This upcoming event will take place in a rural location close to Belper, with transport available from Belper Town. From 12 PM to 6 PM, attendees can enjoy a full day of holistic well-being activities, including Animal Assisted Therapy, a vision board workshop, and a silent disco with sparklers. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, tickets, or to get involved, you can contact Steph via email at KFFCIC@gmail.com or call 07733 335797
