Recovery Project - STAND TO: Holmebrook to Linacre Walk Update – 26 June 2024

Event update from our partners at the STAND TO project:

“On 26th June 2024 Stand To organised a walk not only for our Veteran Community but also for partner organisations from the GRID Community.

The weather was beautiful, and we had 19 attendees (thankyou to Tim from Global Adventure for his support in collecting clients and supporting us with the event).

We started in the park land of Holmebrook Valley on roadstone crushed trails and it wasn’t long before guys and girls were making new friends and exchanging story’s and experiences and offering support to each other on their journey of recovery.

We continued through wooded areas with some paths and challenging terrain before breaking out into Linacre Reservoirs, it was great to see a large group swapping between each other, laughing, and joking out in the fresh air, we took occasional breaks for drinks and sustenance before a circular route (8.76km) took us back to the Café area at Holmebrook Valley where the banter continued.”
